FeedDemon is an example of an RSS news reader for the Windows PC platform. Macintosh OS X users may wish to use an WXOW aplication like NetNewsWire. These programs allow readers to display the latest headlines without opening a web browser. Clicking on a headline opens a browser window to that story.
