Declan Levy

Declan Levy is touring the Midwest as he grew up in Illinois, went to school at the University of Iowa, now works in Minnesota, and lives in Wisconsin. Growing up outside of Chicago, Levy became a Chicago sports fanatic and became interested in the sports media industry at an early age.

After graduating with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Sports Studies, Levy is looking forward to transitioning away from the corn fields and into dairy land. While in school, Levy was a news and sports reporter/anchor for his university TV station, DITV. His favorite part of reporting while at Iowa was as the beat reporter for the Men’s Basketball team where he traveled to various Big 10 stadiums to cover the team.

His first newsroom experience was with WMAQ, the NBC affiliate in Chicago. It was during this internship that Levy knew the Newsroom was where he wanted to be. Levy is thrilled to get his local news start in La Crosse where he is looking to learn the market, the industry and leave his mark on this town.

Levy has quickly become familiar with the hiking trails surrounding the area, loves to explore what downtown La Crosse has to offer, and is always looking for new food and drink spots to try out.
