There’s widespread flooding throughout the region Tuesday morning following heavy rains Monday night.
Vernon County Sheriff’s Dispatch said that all residents living on the east side of the village and near Coon Valley Veterans Memorial Park are evacuated as Coon Creek overflows its banks.
The Highway 14 bridge is completely underwater.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported to authorities.
Anywhere from 5-12 inches of rain fell during Monday night’s storms in a path from Houston County in Minnesota eastward through Vernon, La Crosse, and Monroe, and Juneau counties.
