La Crosse, Wis. (WXOW) – Those who wanted to get into the Halloween spirit early and in a safe environment had their chance on Saturday.
Myrick Park welcomed thousands of visitors for their 19th annual Enchanted Forest. The event, presented by Mayo Clinic Health System, is designed to provide a non-spooky, family-friendly trick-or-treat experience.
“This is a big community event.” Facility and Events coordinator for WisCorps, Tammy Schmitz said. “It really gets them outside enjoying nature, even in the cold weather like it is today.”
Families were given the opportunity to walk along the marsh trails, collecting candy and other goodies along the way, then head indoors for live entertainment.
All proceeds from the event go to benefit WisCorps.
