LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Nearly 9 of 10 registered voters in La Crosse County went to the polls Tuesday.
Numbers from La Crosse County showed that 85 percent of the county’s 67,404 registered voters cast ballots for the midterm election.
The figures far exceeded any of the previous midterm elections, where turnout was at 66-percent in 2014 and 59-percent in 2010.
The totals also surpassed presidental year voting as well. 82-percent voted in 2016 and nearly 85-percent visited the polls in 2012. 83-percent cast ballots in 2008.
