Andrea Albers is someone that viewers in western Wisconsin will recognize. She began her broadcast news career in 2009, at our sister station in Eau Claire, where she most recently served as an evening anchor and the Assistant News Director.
Andrea’s reporting has earned awards from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association, and Emmy nominations. She’s passionate about local news and over the years has found this quote to be true, “Frankly, there isn’t anyone you couldn’t learn to love once you’ve heard their story.” It was something that a social worker shared with Fred Rodgers, and the beloved children’s TV host carried that quote in his wallet.
Andrea anchors MidDay, an hour-long newscast, that broadcasts in western Wisconsin. Andrea also serves as Assistant News Director at WXOW, focusing on managing the daily content creation for the station’s newscasts and digital platforms.
