Preparations underway for Winter Rec-Fest
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – In an effort to get community members outdoors and active during the winter season, the La Crosse Parks and Rec Department will be hosting the 33rd annual Winter Rec-Fest.
The event is designed to get people outside during the time of year where all of us would rather stay inside and hibernate.
Winter Rec-Fest kicks off on Wednesday, January 16 with a snowflake medallion hunt. Following are numerous other events including a figure skating exhibition, a broomball tournament, and a snow volleyball tournament.
The admission fee is $2 for all events except the team tournaments, which are $100 per team.
For a full list of events or if you would like to register a team, you can visit The Winter Rec-Fest website.
