LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — Eighth grade student Vlad Butkovich debuted his dot art collection at the Lincoln Middle School Art Gallery with a public opening on Wednesday, January 11.
Butkovich’s collection marks the first special education solo art show in La Crosse School District history.
“Once he gets engaged he’s very focused on every little dot, every mark he makes.” said Lincoln Middle School Art Teacher Lynnae Burns. “You can tell that he’s very excited about the process.” Burns has taught Butkovich since his interest in art sparked in sixth grade.
The exhibition highlights Butkovich’s development as an artist and will remain open during school hours Monday through Friday until February 11.
