Jake Patterson to appear in court Wednesday

BARRON, Wis. (WXOW) – Jake Patterson, the man accused of kidnapping Barron County teenager Jayme Closs and killing her parents, is back in court this week.

Patterson has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

He faces four charges: Two counts of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Kidnapping, and Burglary while Armed with a Dangerous Weapon.

Prosecutors will try to show probable cause that Patterson committed the crimes. The judge will then determine if there is enough evidence to proceed to trial.

We’ll have coverage of Wednesday’s court case online as well as on our Midday show at 11 a.m.
