LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – After finding themselves in an early deficit the UW-L Women came back and defeated UW-Stevens Point in a first round playoff game.
Stevens Point started the game off well, leading early 15-4. However, once the Eagles found their groove, they took back and maintained control for the rest of the game. UW-L would go on to winn 61-55.
Danielle Schoenenberger led the eagles with 18 points, shooting 3-5 from beyond the arc. Schoenenberger also grabbed 5 rebounds.
“We never get our heads down at all,” Schoenenberger said. “. . . We’re the type of team that really grinds it out when we have to.”
The Eagles play next on Friday, February 22 at 7 p.m. at UW-Whitewater.
