LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — Logan High School students gave 5th graders from Northside and Coulee Montessori elementary schools a tour around the high school for a glimpse into the future.
It’s known as “Operation Interact” and it’s the second annual tour of the high school.
The Logan High School Rotary Interact club is the group of high school students that facilitates the event. The project gives older students a chance to help elementary students think about their futures.
“My favorite part about today is when we get the fifth graders. They’re a little bit nervous at the beginning,” Logan High School Senior and Rotary Interact Club Co-President Madeline Ickes said. “But kind of seeing their growth throughout the day and how excited they are at the end of it for high school and how much fun they have throughout all of the stations.”
According to Logan High School, around 70 elementary students spent the afternoon learning about classes, programs and clubs that the high school offers.
