LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — The Shelby Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at All Star Lanes in La Crosse Thursday Evening. Employees reported the smell of smoke.
The Shelby Fire Department responded to the call at approximately 6:30 p.m. when they arrived the building had already been completely evacuated. No one was injured.
“A couple of the employees had noticed the smell of something burning and they couldn’t quite pinpoint what it was,” Shelby Fire Department Captain Travis Proksch said. “They did the right thing they called the fire department.”
Firefighters located the source of the smell from a piece of equipment that was having an electrical issue. The equipment was removed.
La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department also responded.
