RICHLAND COUNTY, Wis. (WXOW) – The Richland County Sheriff’s office say a high speed chase led to the arrest of three individuals.
The department says around 7:35 p.m. a Sergeant for the department spotted a silver Dodge pick up truck speeding. When the sergeant tried to pull over the truck, it sped up and led them on a chase. The truck drove on Highway 14 before turning onto Bosstown Lane. It then drove through a yard, across a septic mound and into the woods before all three occupants fled on foot.
The sheriff’s department used a drone and set up a perimeter around the area to find the suspects. A deputy then noticed a car in the area and stopped it. They learned the female driver was there to aid the fleeing individuals.
A short time later, deputies located 27-year-old Devin Girard of Muscoda, Wis., 22-year-old Kevin Campbell of Blue River, Wis. and 23-year-old Tylor Myers of Lone Rock, Wis.
Girard was charged with felony knowingly fleeing an officer. Campbell and Myers received resisting/obstructing an officer and bail jumping.
Charges against the female. who was not identified, are pending according to the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff James Bindl praised the deputies involved for the safety and professionalism they showed in the incident.
