National Women’s Checkup Day promotes women’s health

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The second Monday in May is National Women’s Checkup Day. A day for women to make their health a priority.

The day was created by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to remind women to take care of themselves and their health. One of the ways to do that is by scheduling appointments with your health care providers.

Gundersen Health System Dr. Kimberly Lansing, MD, PhD talked about some of the proper screenings and exams women should be getting.
