LA CRESCENT, Minn. (WXOW) – Great Rivers United Way is installing their seventh Born Learning trail in the area.
Installation of the trail began on Friday morning and is anticipated to be done by the end of the weekend. The trail has several stops and wraps around Old Hickory Park in La Crescent. Each of the stops include early learning activities for kids at the park.
Great Rivers United Way Marketing Director Adrianne Olson said, “The idea is that an adult caregiver, while visiting here at Old Hickory Park, would now have the option to take a little stroll with their child and lead them through some early learning activities.”
Born Learning trails are a product of United Way worldwide. Many of these trails include stops to teach kids about shapes, counting, spelling and imagination.
The trail’s grand opening will be held on Monday, June 3 at 1:30 pm.
