Retiring Onalaska superintendent meets with employees and community members

Onalaska, WI (WXOW)  The last day for students in the Onalaska School District is June 5.  As the year comes to a close, employees and community members are talking with the District’s retiring superintendent.

Fran Finco announced that decision in January.  With his wife’s retirement this year, he says the time was just right.

Finco arrived in Onalaska to serve as principal of the middle school in 1991.  He followed by working as curriculum director and then succeeded John Burnett as superintendent in 2011.

Finco’s retirement is effective June 30.  Former Irving Pertzsch Elementary principal Todd Anthony will succeed Finco.
