Viroqua, WI (WXOW) – You can get a taste of Dairy Month with a couple of county dairy breakfasts on the menu this weekend. Vernon Co. Dairy Princess Amber Keenan stopped by Daybreak to whet our appetite for what they’re cookin’ up in Viroqua.
The Vernon County Dairy Breakfast takes place Saturday morning at Torgerson Farms (E8003 Upper Maple Dale Rd. in Viroqua) from 7 am until noon. For those concerned about finding the farm or parking, there’s a shuttle service being offered from the Vernon County Fairgrounds.
The menu features a hearty offering of eggs, sausage and pancakes with steak back by popular demand for an additional cost. Tickets are $6 for adults ($10 with steak) or $2 for kids with free admission for children 2-years-old and younger.
Plenty of activities round out the day’s festivities. Keenan said it will be interesting to see the different dynamics of an organic dairy farm with about 40 head of cattle compared to last year’s breakfast at a larger operation.
Tickets and additional information is available by checking out the Vernon County Dairy Breakfast page on Facebook.
