LA CROSSE (WXOW) — More than 75 ReNew La Crosse volunteers put their hands to work improving homes this year and now, their work is coming to a close.
The project has helped to improve the overall appearance of the lower Northside neighborhoods.
The work included various home improvement projects such as landscaping, painting, and small home repairs.
“People feeling good about what they’re doing and then the homeowner being so excited and happy with the volunteers that have been on their site and just that transformation that we’ve seen on their homes, the before and after. I don’t think I’ve ever seen something so dramatic as we’ve seen this year,” Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity La Crosse Kayha Fox said.
This Saturday there will is a block party to celebrate the work completed. It will include free food, music, prizes and more. It runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Copeland Park Pavilion.
