Thirty-six years of cheese curds at Riverfest

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Rocky’s Supper Club has been serving up fresh and hot Wisconsin cheese curds for 36 years.

Locally, La Crosse celebrates Riverfest each year during American Independence Day with several different food vendor options under the tent.

Rocky’s Supper Club missed the first-ever Riverfest but they’ve returned every year since its second year to serve curds and onion rings. Curd connoisseur Jaynne Lepke said the great business and comradery keeps them coming back each year.

“Seeing everybody and people I haven’t seen all year,” Lepke said. “People that are here working. It’s just really nice to come back and see them. They’re like family after a lot of years being together.”

The cheese curd booth serves people from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
