LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – People are outdoors Tuesday evening as part of an annual campaign to promote the police and community partnership.
The National Night Out was celebrated with food and conversation around the country.
All in an effort to unite law enforcement with the neighborhood. This is a great chance to ask law enforcement any questions about their jobs serving the community and to gain a personal relationship.
16,000 communities across the country participate in fostering the relationship with the community and law enforcement. This is the 36th year of National Night Out.
In La Crosse, there were a dozen gatherings.
