LA CROSSE, Wis (WXOW) – The La Crosse Habitat for Humanity Capital Campaign received a generous donation to help reach the finish line.
Each public donation made through October will now be doubled up to $150,000. This is all thanks to an anonymous donor’s matching gift challenge.
The campaign aims to provide more families with affordable housing here in La Crosse. Their goal to make it happen is $1.6 million, and after this donation, they are on the final stretch.
Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity La Crosse Kahya Fox feels confident that this donation is exactly what the campaign needed to reach its final goal.
“I can’t even think and wrap my head around the idea of how many more in our community that we are going to be able to help,” said Fox.
“We are very excited about the look on the families’ faces as we can now do more. I am really really looking forward to it.”
Each donation will help support new home production, in home repairs and neighborhood beautification programs.
