Big senior class to lead the Hilltoppers this Fall

Onalaska, Wis. (WXOW)  Experience will be plentiful in Onalaska this season.
The Hilltoppers return 20 seniors and 17 starters from a team that went 7-4 last year.

So they figure to be one of the contenders in the MVC.
The Hilltoppers known for their high-flying offense.
They averaged 34 points a game last season.
But they may rely more on the running game this year.
Nathan Lubinsky was having a tremendous season before going down with a knee injury mid-season.
His return, plus great depth at the running back position will give opponents problems.

“We look forward to having three really good running backs. So we can focus on the run game which should open up the pass game. But we really do want to be a run first team. I know with the passing game we’ve had the past three or four years people think we’re a passing team. We do want to run the ball and we have three guys we think can do a good job of doing that,” said head coach Tom Yashinsky.
“I think we’ll be a very balanced offense that can run when we want and that can set up the pass with Austin (Larson) and Landon (Peterson) on the outside. I think we’ll do very well,” said senior running back Nathan Lubinsky.

Onalaska has qualified for the playoffs six seasons in a row.
