Viterbo welcomes a new addition to campus

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Viterbo University opened their new Skogen Family Welcome Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Future and current students will now have the opportunity to visit the welcome center on the first floor of the D.B. and Marge Reinhart Center for Ethics, Science and Technology. The space provides guests with a comfortable atmosphere to learn more about the university.

“From the first moment they walk in families and visitors have a clear sense of where to go and learn about Viterbo,” President of Viterbo University Glena Temple said. “We are showing what our values are and make sure their first experience here is a positive one. This is really what our goal is by bringing all of this together and having a welcoming space.”

Other features include a fireplace, comfortable seating, hospitality bar, several meeting rooms and two accessible restrooms.

Donations for this center were provided by multiple donors. The lead gift was donated by Festival Food owners Dave, Barb and Mark Skogen.
