The defenses dominate in Aquinas’ season-opener against Prairie du Chien

La Crosse, Wisc. (WXOW)- Aquinas football kicked off their season of change on Saturday. The Blugolds opened up their first non MVC season since 1996.

Their season started with hosting Prairie du Chien at UW-La Crosse.

This game was scoreless up until the 2:51 mark in the 4th quarter. At that point, it was Matthew Reutman punching it in for Aquinas to go up 6-0. The Blackhawks then had the response, Dylan Coleman hit Mason Kramer for the 20 yard touchdown. The Blackhawks made the extra point to take a 7-6 lead.

Praire du Chien defeated Aquinas 7-6.
