LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – 92 veterans and volunteers spent Saturday in the nation’s capitol to see memorials dedicated to their service as part of the latest Freedom Honor Flight group.

Veterans from Vietnam, Korea, and World War II toured Washington D.C. after leaving La Crosse just past dawn and returning late Saturday night.

Whether it was leaving La Crosse, arriving in Washington, or returning back to Wisconsin, all the veterans were met by family, friends, and volunteers who celebrated and honored their service.

WXOW’s Andrea Albers and Elizabeth Briggson spent the day with the veterans.

These photos in this slide show from them highlight the trip.
