State Sen. Fitzgerald announces run for Rep. Sensenbrenner’s seat

MILWAUKEE (WISN) — Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says he will run to replace retiring Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner. Fitzgerald made the announcement on WISN-AM.

The longtime Republican announced earlier this month he not going to run for re-election in 2020.

Sensenbrenner, 76, is the second most senior lawmaker in the House of Representatives, and represents Wisconsin’s Fifth Congressional District.
