More heat and humidity will mean t-storms…

Summer heat and humidity…
Highs today climbed well above the averages for this time of the year, and higher dew points made it feel even warmer. Readings today were in the 70s and lower 80s.

Warm weather into the weekend…
An upper level ridge of high pressure combined with an incoming storm system will keep the heat and humidity in place for the rest of the week. Our pattern becomes more active with thunderstorms, too.

Occasional t-storms tonight…
Another area of showers and t-storms will redevelop overnight, and heavy rain will be possible after midnight and toward Thursday morning. A Flash Flood watch has been issued from 3 am until noon on Thursday. Take the steps necessary to stay safe!

Occasional t-storms later in the week…
We will also see more activity as we head into Friday and Saturday. The better chances will occur on Saturday. Stay tuned!
