United Way grant creates a Zen Den at the Boys and Girls Club in Tomah
TOMAH, Wis. (WXOW) – The Great Rivers United Way is celebrating 70 years the only way they know how, by giving back.
The Boys and Girls Club in Tomah won a $1,000 venture grant from United Way.
The grant is being used to create a Zen Den. It’s a way for kids to relieve stress and get in touch with their senses.
“It’s a part of the club that can assist kids throughout their club day like any adult or child. Things can be overwhelming and so what we allow is a space for kids to come. There’s a staff here that can help them calm down,” Resource Development and Marketing Director Rose Dobbs said.
The Boys and Girls Club is one of nine organizations that won a grant from the Great Rivers United Way.
