WATCH: Man sucker punched; Police looking for suspect

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – La Crosse Police are trying to find the person who assaulted a man at a La Crosse business Sunday morning.

It happened at Rudy’s at 1004 La Crosse Street at 3:55 a.m. as the man is entering the building. A younger, college-age male walks up to the man, talks to him briefly, then hits the man in the face.

The man, James Davenport, 59, falls to the ground after he’s hit. One of his teeth was knocked out according to the police report.

The suspect is described as wearing a grey or light blue polo shirt with a stripe across the front, khaki shorts, and white Nike tennis shoes.

Police want to find the suspect. If anyone has information, please  contact the police department at 608-789-7240 and reference the incident number 19-45788.
