Vehicle vandals strike multiple cars overnight in La Crescent

La Crescent, MN (WXOW) – La Crescent police are issuing a word of warning following a string of car break-ins on Tuesday night.

Those break-ins all happened within the same four-block radius of each other. Sergeant Justin Thorsen of the La Crescent Police Department said that residents should always lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of sight because this is not the first time an incident like that has occurred in La Crescent.

“Probably about five years ago, we had a string of vehicle entries — about 20 to 30 of them. We have had them in the past so we do what we can to be vigilant out on patrol and make sure we cover the area,” said Sgt. Thorsen.

It has not been confirmed whether or not this incident is related to the recent string of break-ins in La Crosse.

If you see any suspicious activity going on in the area, you can contact the La Crescent Police Department at (507) 895-4414.
