LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Wisconsin Democrats in the state legislature fanned out across the state Monday to promote their priorities for the upcoming session.
Senator Jennifer Shilling, Representative Jill Billings, and Representative Steve Doyle spoke about the “Forward Together” plan during a news conference at La Crosse City Hall.
Among the items they discussed were affordable health care, clean water, raising the minimum wage, and universal background checks.
Democratic Governor Tony Evers is also looking at a special session regarding gun control measures.
Any proposals would have a difficult time passing a Republican-controlled legislature.
