Tomah tees up a Sectional title and earns a trip to State

Stevens Point, Wis. (WXOW)  The Tomah girls golf team turned in a terrific day and won their Division 1 Sectional at Stevens Point, edging second place Stevens Point by three strokes, 360-363.

The Timberwolves qualify for the State Tournament for the fourth time in school history.

Freshman Brin Neumann was the meet medalist after shooting an 82 at Stevens Point Country Club.

She won the individual title by two strokes.

Tomah placed four golfers in the top 15.

Sophie Pokela finished 9th overall with a 90.

Her teammates Sarah Peterson and Amelia Zingler each carded a 94.

The WIAA State Meet is set for October 14-15 at University Ridge in Verona.
