Drug Take-Back Day nets nearly 200 lbs of drugs

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW)  – We now know just how many pounds of medication was collected at last weekend’s Prescription Drug Take-Back Day in La Crosse.

Al Bliss, Health Educator for the La Crosse County Health Department, said the day netted 196 lbs. of medications.

If you missed the Drug Take-Back Day, you can still dispose of expired or unwanted meds at various locations around the county.

There are drug drop boxes at local police departments, hospitals, and clinics. See below:

  • La Crosse County Sheriff’s Department:
