La Crosse, WI (WXOW) – A little segment we’re calling 25 nights of rotary lights rolls on as we countdown to the Rotary Lights 25th annual display.

Taking a look at 1997, the community continued to support the project full steam ahead – giving generously to local food pantries with more than 31,000 donations—an increase of about 10,000 from the previous year.

Volunteers put up 425,000 lights for 1997. That’s a 125,000 bulb increase over the 350,000 in 1996.

The countdown continues each day until the 25th Annual Rotary Lights goes live on November 29.
