LA CROSSE. (WXOW) – Saturday’s win marks three straight seasons with at least seven wins for the UW- La Crosse Eagles.
The Eagles win over Stevens Point in the last game of the season gives them a record of 7-3.
Defensively, the Eagles held the Pointers to just 17 points. Sophomore, Josh Dorschner came up big with two sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery.
“That’s what we try to do, we’re a bend don’t break defense,” said Dorschner.
Head Coach Mike Schmidt had some kind words about the sophomore’s big performance.
“The kind of player he is,” Schmidt said. “That was a big time recruit for us a couple years ago. He’s a big time player, and I think we’re gonna see a lot more games like that out of that kid. He’s a great player, great talent and what a game he had today for us. Saved the game for us,” said coach Schmidt.
