LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – With the start of gun deer season starting in only a few days, stores that carry hunting supplies are busy places.
Roger Wendling, owner of Monsoor’s Sport Shop in La Crosse said although the weather might not be ideal, that hasn’t stopped hunters from getting ready for the season.
“Deer hunting season is always busy sighting guns in and so forth. Of course, it’s warmer nowadays than what it used to be,” said Wendling. “We used to have two feet of snow to go deer hunting in and now we’ve got rain.”
Gun deer season begins Saturday, November 23 and runs through Sunday, December 1.
