Rushford fire update: One of three daughters released

RUSHFORD, Minn. (WXOW) – Ravyn Cords, one of three Cords daughters seriously burned in a massive overnight house fire last month, has been released from the hospital.

The other two sisters are still hospitalized. Doctors are optimistic about a full recovery for Teagan but have more concerns for Peyton, who remains in critical condition.

The family’s father, Jared Cords, was sent home from the hospital on November 8. Erin Cords, Jared’s wife and the children’s mother, says Jared saved their three daughters, pulling them from their burning house. While everyone made it out alive, their rural Rushford area home is a complete loss.

Several community support efforts have spawned in this tragedy’s wake, including a GoFundMe, a community benefit, and a fund at the Rushford State Bank.
