LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The gates to the 25th Annual Rotary Lights holiday festival opened at Riverside Park on Friday.
According to the Rotary Lights website, 160,000 people visit the festival every year. Some people return to see the lights and for others, it is their first time.
“Being 25 years into this, we have a lot of little kids who we used to entertain down here now have their own kids down here,” Rotary Lights President Pat Stephens said. “It is neat to see that.”
Over three million lights go into the designs and production of the festival. The gates open everyday at 5 p.m. through December 31. A non-perishable food donation is recommended but the event is free.
