Sunday snow leads to a calm first week of December

Snow through Sunday morning will be the biggest forecast concern for the Coulee region this week. Any rain or wintry mix leftover from Saturday will be all snow by Sunday morning. Snow showers will likely continue into Sunday, but will begin to taper off by afternoon.

Overall accumulations will be low for us with this system. Most places will see 1” to 2” of accumulation with through Sunday, with 3” possible, farther north. Plan to take a little extra time on the roads if you have travel plans on Sunday morning.

Temperatures will be fairly steady through the day on Sunday, with highs in the low 30s. Skies will begin to clear Sunday night, which will lead to low temperatures in the upper teens to start Monday morning.

Fortunately, weather will become much quieter for the first week of December with no major precipitation in the forecast. High temperatures will be near 30 to start the week, but will rise into the mid to upper 30s by mid week.
