Second armed robbery in Black River Falls under investigation

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WXOW) – Authorities in Jackson County are searching for two men in an armed robbery last week in Black River Falls.

Captain Adam Olson of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said that on November 27 around 11 p.m., officers were called to the Holiday Gas Station at 448 N. Water Street in Black River Falls for a report of an armed robbery.

Witnesses said two men came into the store and attempted to steal money. During the holdup, a handgun and a knife were shown.

Both men left the store on foot according to witnesses.

Olson said that this is the second robbery attempt in the past two weeks. The Corner Store was held up on November 21.

Both the sheriff’s office and Black River Falls police are investigating both crimes.

The sheriff’s office said that they weren’t able to provide any surveillance photos from the robbery as it would compromise the integrity of the investigation.
