LA CROSSE (WXOW) - La Crosse's City Hall is in the holiday spirit - the city departments are going head to head through door decorating.

The competition is open to the public whether or not community members have other business in City Hall. When people head in, they can vote for their favorite door while also giving back to the community.

"People can come in and vote for their favorite door by putting nonperishable food or a hygiene product next to the door they think is best or their favorite," La Crosse Parks and Recreation Administrative Coordinator Kate Kroll said.

All items collected will be donated to a local food pantry at the end of the month.

Voting closes December 20th. City Hall is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m.

The winning department wins a trophy and, of course, bragging rights.
