BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WQOW) - Armed robbery charges have been filed against two men wanted in a pair of Jackson County robberies.
Jessie Blakenship, 25, and Treyton Laufenberg, 17, both from Black River Falls, each face one count of armed robbery with use of force.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says one of the robberies happened on Friday at the Holiday gas station on North Water Street.
Officials say the men showed a handgun and knife and threatened an employee. A customer walked in on the robbery and called 911. That is when the suspects ran.
Someone tipped off police after they overheard Laufenberg discussing the robbery at the Holiday gas station as well as his possible involvement in another armed robbery in Black River Falls on November 21.
Police believe both robberies are connected.
The witness said Laufenberg referenced fleeing from the state.
Arrest warrants have been issued for both suspects.
