Holiday Train rolls into La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - The Canadian Pacific Railroad's Holiday Train brought some early Christmas cheer to the Coulee Region Wednesday.

Following stops in Tomah and Sparta, the train arrived later Wednesday evening at the Amtrak depot in La Crosse.

The stop featured all the lights and sounds of the holiday season.

There was also an opportunity to drop off donations for area food pantries.

If you missed the train, it is coming back to the area in a few days.

The train returns on Sunday, December 8 with stops planned in Iowa and Minnesota. Marquette is the first stop at 2:45 p.m., followed by Lansing at 4:50 p.m., New Albin at 6:15 p.m., and finally La Crescent at 8:15 p.m.

The final stop in the area is the following day on Monday, December 9. A 3:30 p.m. stop is scheduled at the Winona Amtrak depot.
