La Crosse, Wis. - (WXOW) - The free health clinic at Northside Elementary school is slated to get some extra funds in 2020 thanks to the Sprout Foundation.

Sprout For Kids is looking to raise money for the clinic that offers basic health care at no cost. Since 2015, Sprout has worked with various non-profits, so adding the clinic seemed a natural fit.

"We were looking for someone we haven't worked with in the past," said Executive Director Tami Plourde. "I got a really fantastic letter from Dr. Ted and it really intrigued me."

"We have a budget and that budget is met by donations," said Dr. Teddy Thompson. "The clinic is free to everybody. It's free to the kids here, to the siblings of those kids, to the parents of the children here, to the neighborhood."

This past year, the Sprout Foundation was able to raise just over $30,000 for local organizations. Since they started in 2015, they've been able to collect and pass on some $123,000.
