LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - The Healthy Heroes Awards recognized people who help improve the health of the community by encouraging exercise, healthy eating habits and a tobacco-free lifestyle.
On Friday, the La Crosse Healthy Living Collaboration recognized Terry Erickson as one of the award winners.
"For Terry, I think the impact is so broad-reaching," La Crosse County Public Health Educator Rachel King said. "Whether it's through his friends or his family, it speaks to the work that he's been doing in the community for years at the Boys and Girls Club, his impact through the schools."
The La Crosse County Healthy Living Collaboration formed in 2009 and consists of local organizations working together to improve public health.
