Galesville man arrested with meth, heroin

WHITEHALL, Wis. (WXOW) - A Galesville man faces charges after authorities find $26,000 worth of drugs in his vehicle and home.

Kenneth W. Caldwell, 33, was arrested after a traffic stop on Highway 53 and Arneson Ridge Road in the Town of Preston on January 9.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office said K-9 Luke alerted his handler to the presence of drugs inside Caldwell's vehicle.

He was arrested after a search turned up methamphetamine.

A search of Caldwell's Galesville residence turned up 65 grams of heroin and 4.3 grams of methamphetamine.

Caldwell was booked into the Trempealeau County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, operating with a restricted controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver narcotics, and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

The sheriff's office said other arrests may be pending.
