ONALASKA, Wis. (WXOW) --- Mayoral candidate Bob Muth announced Tuesday morning that he is dropping out of the race due to personal reasons not related to health.
"There's things that are occurring right now that are beyond my control that caused me to change my plan, but I think Jim Binash will do a great job and I'm going to support him all the way through," said Muth.
Muth has served in a number of roles for the city over the past 45 years. He plans to remain active in the community by volunteering and serving on committees.
Binash, current Mayor Kim Smith, and Terry Bauer remain in the race as of now. They'll all go head to head in a primary on February 18. The top two will square off in the April 7 election.
Muth's name will still appear on the ballot for the February 18th primary because he turned in his paperwork before making his announcement to drop out.
