LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - A long-time supporter of the arts has surpassed its year-end fundraising goal thanks to the community.
UFAH which stands for the United Fund for the Arts and Humanities set a goal of $125,000 for the 2019 campaign fundraising efforts but actually raised one $131,000.
UFAH does more than just provide funding for organizations in the arts.
For 36 years, UFAH has been funding education programs and providing scholarships.
UFAH Board Chair Diane Foust says she is glad the community finds value in the work they do.
"I think that people are finding out that they can support a lot of organizations through UFAH and organizations that they might already be familiar with like the Symphony or Boy Choir or the Girl Choir, the community theater large and small, so I think that they are realizing this is a broad reach campaign that we have," said Foust.
UFAH is also proud to announce that they have a new member group, the Heider Center in West Salem.
