The Sisters and prayer partners will still pray in the Adoration Chapel, but no longer around the clock beginning February 26, 2020.

LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) Change is something you can count on. And the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration are not immune.

Their members are changing and their numbers are fewer. So, they had to ask, how long can we continue our practice of around the clock prayer?

As a result, they soon won't pray 24 hours a day in the Adoration Chapel.

But they will continue to pray.

On February 26, 2020, the Sisters and prayer partners, lay people who assist in prayer, will pray in the chapel from 6 in the morning until 10 at night. After 10, no one is scheduled to pray.

With the Vatican's blessing, the sisters won't change their name. They've earned to keep Perpetual Adoration in their name through devoted practice over a long period of time.
