LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Girl Scout Cookie season is almost here. Scouts will start selling around the area on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Badgerland Council's Sally Egan said cookie sales are not only important as a fundraiser for the local troops, but they also provide girls will a lot of soft skills that will be useful later in life. She said many women who own successful businesses point to cookie selling skills as a confidence booster.
Jazlynn Olson from Troop 4225 in Galesville is a three-time top seller. She said she's already learning how to better communicate through cookie sales. Olson added that her secret is to always be courteous whether people buy cookies from you or not.
